Machelle Perkins is a licensed Acupuncturist and Naturopath and established her practice in 1999. She received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida, a post graduate degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from the Florida Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine and also a Medical Degree in Naturopathy from St. Luke’s University School of Medicine.

Machelle Perkins is a board certified by the NCCAOM and the Florida Department of Health as a Doctor of Oriental Medicine. She has passed her National board exam in Naturopathy and previously had a license to practice Naturopathy in the District of Columbia and Idaho. There is currently no comparable license available in the State of Florida. She served on the medical board of the Cancer Wellness Institute from 2000-2004.
Machelle Perkins has lectured to The Society of Radiation Therapists on the benefits of Oriental Medicine for cancer patients. She has been interviewed on nationally broadcast Good Day New York and locally broadcast on Studio 10 where she discussed the benefits of Oriental Medicine. She treats a wide range of patients including celebrities and professional athletes.

Marina the Therapy Dog
Marina is a young mini-cockapoo that loves meeting people. Since she is a Cockapoo she doesn’t shed and is hypoallergenic. She has been trained to greet you when you first walk-in and will lay beside you during your intake. She presently will not join you in the exam room. She is still in-training so she hasn’t master all of her skills perfectly to be a true therapy dog. If you prefer, it can be arranged to have her stay in her dog bed or not to be in the office your entire visit.

I have been under the care of Dr. Perkins for almost 2 months. At first, I was skeptical about this type of therapy... that the VA recommended - which I told Dr. Perkins. I had reservations if it would help my injuries or not. Dr. Perkins was completely professional, took her time evaluating my issues and set up a plan that would benefit me the most. After a few visits, a trust formed between us that transcends my worries about this type of therapy and I saw progress right away. My issues are military related (back, neck, leg, foot, and both shoulders) now after 2 months of therapy 2 to 3 times a week, I'm down to just pain from back and neck and reduced issues in my shoulders. Leg pain gone! Foot pain getting alot better. She didn't try to solicit any promotional products - I asked! Cooling gel is awesome! I highly recommend her therapy, advice and healthier living suggestions. As a bonus: Sam (Office Manager) is awesome and is on top of all appointments.read more

This business is awful and the owner chose politics over health today! She chose personal agenda over professionalism.... I was told to leave the establishment because I refused to wear a diaper on my face and I would be reprimanded if I didnt. I was also told I am breaking state law (FYI not a law in Florida and even illegal to suggest it is - I will be filing a complaint). Keep in mind I have been to several other holistic facilities around town and no one else harassed me for this! This is the free and open state of Florida! We have a choice to do what we want with our own health. I highly recommend using Dr. Lori Puskar or ANY other place in clearwater where there are no dictators.read more

If you have tried everything to stop smoking/vaping and really feel it is time to QUIT, Dr. Perkins was it for me. 49... years, a pack of menthol a day. I tried Chantix, patches, hypnosis and vaping to cut down/stop. When breathing became noticeably harder it was time to try something different. Acupuncture and Dr. Perkins whole process made it incredibly easy to quit. This was 5 months ago. I didn't want to believe it but I still have no desire. Dr. Perkins helped me manage and heal from several different health issues traditional doctors could not help me with.... After a car accident, I suffered from severe neck pain and anxiety (the two not entirely related). I also had terrible sinus problems, but doctors couldn't find anything I was allergic to. The acupuncture greatly eased the pain from my injury while I healed. The herbs she recommended for my sinus problems and anxiety have also healed my body. I no longer need any allergy medication besides a daily nasal rinse and no longer experience symptoms of anxiety. I will always be truly grateful for her help!read more

So thankful I chose this place for acupuncture! I started here for my back and neck pain, but also have severe... digestion issues. I feel so bloated often, cannot digest easily, and have multiple problems along the lines of that. I have had chronic and debilitating low back and bilateral hip pain for more than 2 decades. I did all of the regular... western medicine stuff. An utterly amazing & gifted doctor! When I first went to Dr Perkins I could not stand for even 10 minutes without... excruciating pain. After *one* acupuncture treatment I found so much relief and increase of functionality that I am absolutely thrilled! In addition to drastic pain improvement she has identified genetic health condition and provided vitamins and supplements which have drastically improved energy and mood. She is very caring and compassionate and her staff is delightful to work with.Update: I wrote a review a long time back but I am writing one again. Dr. Perkins did so much good for my back that I had not been in to see her in quite a while. But I went in today for assistance with back and shoulder pain. Please explain to me how I can go have somebody stick dozens of pins in me and I walk out an hour later feeling so good and so relaxed. Truly amazing. I would have thought I just had a massage. I can’t explain it, but acupuncture works and Dr. Perkins is the best acupuncturist I have ever been to. She is also quite knowledgeable with TCM and other medical/nutritional areas as well. I recommend seeing her for differ reasons. I have been going here and seeing Machelle for a good while now. she has... helped me alot with my back, knees and shoulder that I was sure I was going to need surgery for but after treatments from Machelle I no longer do. I went to here recently and she was following all Dulles of disinfecting and going above all rules and regulations. oh.and the herbal medications that she recommended works great! Dr. Perkins has been treating me for various challenges since April 2014. I have seen dramatic improvement in menstrual... symptoms. In fact, I no longer experience cramping, bloating, acne, back ache or heavy, achy legs before or even during my cycle. Nothing short of amazing.At Dr. Perkins' recommendation I did the Micronutrient testing in July 2014, which revealed a B12 deficiency and the other b vitamin were at dramatically low levels.
